It is indeed a good idea. At the very beginning, I sensed that
they were trying to cover up the whole fiasco by asking me to pay
the other guy directly. It was only after I insisted that they do a
full auditing that they finally did so.
And making out a cheque to them would certainly add to the paper
trail. And if anything goes wrong, I can use the paper trail to
implicate them and absolve myself of any guilt.
I'll talk to my sis first.... I think she ought to have a checking
account.
